The Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO), is a big electric company in Japan. Founded in 1951, it’s in charge of making and sending electricity to many homes and businesses around Tokyo. TEPCO has helped Japan grow and become more advanced, and it also works on using energy from clean sources like solar and wind power. However, the company had some problems in 2011 when an accident happened at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant. Despite this, TEPCO continues to evolve, focusing on enhancing safety measures, restoring public trust, and contributing to society’s decarbonization efforts.
