Myanmar: Mingun Pagoda (Pahtodawgyi)

Mingun Pagoda is a big, unfinished temple in Mingun, a town near Mandalay in Myanmar, Asia. It was started by a king over 200 years ago, but it was never finished. Even though it’s an unfinished temple, it’s still really big, about one-third of the original planned size. You can see large cracks on it because of an earthquake that happened many years ago, which resulted in the king abandoning its development. Right next to it, there’s a giant bell that’s one of the biggest in the world. People visit Mingun Pahtodawgyi to see the huge structure and learn about its interesting history. Even though it’s unfinished, it’s still an important and famous place in Myanmar.
