This valley is located along the route from the Tajikistan border to Osh in Kyrgyzstan (the photo was taken in Kyrgyzstan). It’s a higher valley, popular among nomads during the summer months. The grass turns green there, and they move from the plains in the winter to this region in the summer. They set up camp, take care of their baby animals, and produce kumis (fermented horse milk). The valley is favored because it’s cooler and offers good grazing land for their livestock herds.
